Sungmo Cho (MFA, Pratt Institute, NY; MFA, Hongik University, Seoul; BFA, Chungang University, Seoul), the Korean born artist who was formerly an adjunct professor for 6 years at Mercy College in New York, has exhibited widely in Korea, Japan, Germany, and the United States. Known for being an exquisite colorist, Sungmo Cho is a sublime painter, possessed of a technical mastery, which lends his relatively small paintings a presence and a power surpassing that of many larger works.

Cho has exhibited widely, amounting to more than 37 solo shows in New York, Korea, and Japan. In addition, he has had over 170 group shows in four different countries. Many paintings from Cho’s artwork have been acquired by private art collectors over the years.
